Combined Heat and Power, also known as cogeneration, captures waste heat from electricity generation for heating, cooling, or industrial processes. CHP systems can achieve 60-80% total efficiency compared to ~33% for conventional power plants. They are commonly used in campus, hospital, and industrial microgrids.
